W. Eugene Smith was born in December of 1918. He was a photojournalist and took many jarring and brutal photos specifically in World War II and many other places in the world. He had a strong sense of light and composition and specifically subject matter.
Can a single photo change the world?
I believe that a single photo can possibly change the world but it's a little difficult to say its always the photo changing the world rather than the subject of the photo, so yes and no.
